Coffee description:
Coffee was not cultivated in Kenya until 1898 when the French introduced coffee shrubs from Reunion Island. AA is actually a classification of coffee produced in Kenya. Screen sized beans of 17-18 are considered AA, usually the largest bean.
Kenyan coffee is grown at the higher altitudes along the Mount Kenya region. The fertile volcanic soil, mild climate, and seasonal rains produce this well balanced coffee.
Kenya AA produces a splendid cup of coffee displaying a rich, winey-like acidity enveloped inside a full body. A fine coffee for those who like the striking and the unusual.
