Coffee description:
A true”stand out” in the Indonesian coffee arena. Papua New Guinea is located in the eastern half of the huge island of New Guinea (north of Australia). It is a gorgeous country with its rugged mountains and steep valleys.
Most coffees are grown on small plots of individually owned land. Coffee was brought to this island in 1930’s with seeds from Jamaica Blue Mountain. Therefore, many of the New Guinea coffees have Jamaican Blue characteristics.
All of these coffees are grown at least 5,000 ft. altitude. However, they seem to be more delicate than most high mountain grown coffees.
These coffees are sweet and floral, mild and mellow, and full bodied with moderate acidity, and oh-so aromatic.
This is truly one to try!!
